Activity Overview
All are invited to particpate with a hike at the Glow Worm Tunnels near Lithgow
Clothing & Equipment
Everyone is requried to wear long pants and fully enclosed shoes.
Scouting members are to be in their scouting uniform
Everyone will require a hat and backpack with suncream, bug spray, full water bottle, rain jacket, jumper, snacks & lite lunch.
Travel Arrangements
All attending are to meet at Mudgee scout hall at 7am to car pool to the Glow worm tunnel car park by 9.45am ready to start hiking by 10am.
We are all going to be car pooling for this activity to minimise the risk and due to the lack of car parking spots at the Glow Worms.
We are travelling to Lithgow via the castlereagh highway, out to Clarence then down old bells road on to the glow worm tunnel rd , through a tunnel into the car park.
There is 39kms of gravel, rough, tight corner and most single land road to get to the car park, the road is not suitable for low to the ground cars.
We will return to the car park before 1.30pm ready for the return journey to Mudgee hall.
